I WANT THE BEST.
When it comes to protein powders I’m a bit of a snob. I look for brands with minimum ingredients, all natural ingredients, the best actual quality of protein and oh… it has to taste great.
Enter Naked Nutrition.
Today I’d like to share one of my favorite brands, specifically highlighting Naked Whey Vanilla.
NAKED WHEY IS EXCELLENT BECAUSE:
Grass-Fed
3 INGREDIENTS ONLY
Tastes delicious and not too sweet
25 grams of protein per serving
No artificial sweeteners
No artificial flavors
- No additives or gums
In addition to the delicious, not overly sweet taste, you’ll be thrilled to hear that one serving gives you 25 grams of protein per serving and is fairly low in fat and carbohydrates. With just three ingredients as mentioned it is also soy-free, gluten-free and non GMO. They also have chocolate and unflavored.
What also impressively separates Naked Nutrition from other brands is that the manufacturing process for Naked Whey is cold pressed which leaves the amino acids, omega-3s, CLA and immunoglobulins intact.
I appreciate how Naked Whey has a mild taste and it offers more protein per serving and costs less to buy. I like how I can use this protein powder for not just smoothies but also baked goods.
That said, you know I have two delicious protein-packed recipes to share with you. Let’s talk about a strawberries and cream smoothie and protein pancakes! Both are staples in our house and kid-friendly, nutritionist approved. Enjoy.
STRAWBERRIES AND CREAM SMOOTHIE
Ingredients:
8 oz water
2 tbsp coconut cream
1 serving of Naked Whey Vanilla
1 1/2 cup frozen cauliflower rice
1 tbsp sunflower butter or cashew
1 tbsp chia seeds
1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
dash of cinnamon
Directions:
Place all the ingredients in a high-speed blender. Enjoy!
NAKED WHEY PROTEIN PANCAKES
Ingredients:
½ cup old fashioned oatmeal
1/3 cup egg whites
1 scoop Naked Whey Vanilla protein powder
1 tbsp flaxseed, ground
¼ ripe banana
1 tbsp Greek yogurt
1 tsp cinnamon, ground
1 tsp vanilla extract
¼ cup frozen blueberries (for topping)
Directions:
Place all ingredients, except the blueberries in a blender and blender under smooth. Prepare a pan with cooking spray and get it hot. Spoon batter into the pan and sprinkle the blueberries on top.
Once the bottoms of the pancakes are browned, flip and cook the other side. Once cooked, remove from heat and serve.
DELICIOUS!!
So there you have it and if you prioritize products that don’t have a ton of artificial ingredients or additives give Naked Nutrition a try. I also recommend this brand to anyone pregnant or breastfeeding as you don’t have to worry about any unnatural ingredients.
